The diet with the unusual name "Roller Coaster" is an unconventional but effective method of losing weight. It was developed by American nutritionist Martin Katan.
What's so special about Roller Coaster?
The essence of the diet is to overcome the plateau effect by constantly changing the caloric content of the diet. This allows you to deceive the body and stimulate the breakdown of fat cells.
According to some data, the method is often used by astronauts who need to lose weight quickly before a flight. If you believe the author, then for each day of using such a diet, the weight of the person losing weight decreases by 1 kilogram.
However, the figures are conditional. Much depends on the body structure of the person losing weight, but nevertheless, the process of weight loss occurs quite quickly.
Pros of the diet
Perhaps the most important advantage is the absence of prohibitions. You can eat absolutely everything you want, but on one condition.
You are required to control the amount of calories consumed. For this, you can use calorie tables or special applications.
Another advantage of the "Roller Coaster" is that the diet is quite easy to tolerate. As a rule, difficulties can be encountered only in the first days, when you are allowed to eat no more than 500-600 kcal.
Contraindications to the diet
The Roller Coaster Diet has a number of contraindications. These include chronic diseases, pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Rules for losing weight
All those who follow the Roller Coaster Diet are not allowed to exceed the amount of calories set for each day. To speed up the cleansing process, it is worth drinking enough water.
It is recommended to drink at least 1.5 liters of still water per day. This, by the way, also reduces the feeling of hunger.
Want to make the weight loss process even more effective? Then engage in physical activity (while using a non-strict diet).
Menu for 21 days
You must follow these restrictions for 21 days. From days 1 to 3 you need to consume 600 kcal, from days 4 to 7 - 900 kcal, from days 8 to 14 increase the caloric content to 1200 kcal, from days 15 to 17 reduce to 600 kcal, and from days 17 to 21 consume 900 kcal.
