Healthy foods are no longer healthy if they are not prepared or served correctly.
For example, fish. Nutritionists have compiled a whole list of products that should not be cooked and consumed together with fish.
Fish is not just healthy. It is impossible to imagine a balanced diet without it, experts remind. But combining it with certain products makes fish useless.
What is the reason?
The thing is that fish is considered a protein product. If we are talking about sea fish, these types often also contain fat, which is why they take longer to digest.
If you serve such fish with a “heavy” side dish, you can create additional difficulties for the stomach.
What you shouldn't eat fish with
For convenience, nutritionists have grouped all incompatible foods into common groups. This makes it easier to remember that fish should not be served:
- with milk;
- fruits;
- mushrooms;
- cereals, with the exception of loose rice;
- with legumes.
The best combination
There will be no problems if you cook fish with tomatoes, onions and herbs, carrots or potatoes.
It is better to stew, boil, marinate vegetables or serve them fresh.
