Nuts are a very healthy food, but some people should not eat them.
Russian endocrinologist Elena Ostrovskaya told us who should avoid eating nuts.
Her recommendations are cited by the Izvestia publication.
Who shouldn't eat nuts
Firstly, nuts are contraindicated for people prone to allergic reactions.
Nuts can cause severe allergic reactions, the doctor warned.
Secondly, you need to eat nuts with caution if you have gastritis, pancreatitis, irritable bowel syndrome and other diseases of the digestive system.
And even if there are no contraindications, you shouldn’t eat a lot of nuts.
The safe amount of nuts per day is about 30 grams, Ostrovskaya clarified.
