Cardiologist Denis Sokolov made this statement in a conversation with representatives of the publication “ Lenta.ru ”.
As the specialist explained, this type of activity is easy to perform under any conditions, and in this case, no special preparation is required.
With this workout, you can strengthen your blood vessels and heart muscles, improve blood circulation, and maintain blood sugar levels at the right level. Another plus is that walking has a positive effect on sleep and mood.
Sokolov added that the exercise should be performed without overexertion.
If you start to feel dizzy, your pulse rate increases, or you become short of breath, you should slow down and rest.
At the same time, you shouldn’t think that you need to spend hours walking.
The doctor noted that it is enough to devote only half an hour to such an activity to maintain health. But it is better to repeat such a simple cardio workout every day.
