Dried fruits retain most of the beneficial substances for the human body obtained during ripening.

But improper storage, as well as preparation, makes healthy preparations useless and even tasteless. Here's how you shouldn't handle dried apricots.

1. Housewives often choose polyethylene bags, plastic containers or fabric bags to store dried apricots. All of these are the most unsuitable options. The ideal container for dried apricots is glass, ceramics or a wooden barrel. All of them should close tightly and not let air through.

2. After placing the preparation in a suitable container, it is better to put it in the refrigerator if you want to stretch the supplies for a long time. In a loosely closed jar, dried apricots will soon begin to dry out, but they can also get moldy in the refrigerator.

3. If there is no space in the refrigerator, then the container with dried fruits should be placed in a dark and dry place - ideally a glazed balcony.

4. It is important to observe storage conditions. Air humidity should be about 70%. If the level is higher, dried fruits quickly become damp, if on the contrary, they dry out.

As for the temperature regime, the allowed temperature in the room is 10-20 degrees Celsius.

And lastly, it is important to periodically inspect the supplies, and if the fruits suddenly become slippery or sticky, they need to be washed and dried again or used as intended.
