Red and black caviar are not just a delicacy. They are healthy foods, but nutritionists do not recommend eating them with spoons.

The prices for this product are not the lowest, but there is more affordable pollock caviar, which is not much inferior in terms of the content of nutrients.

In an interview with URA.RU, nutritionist and category 1 gastroenterologist Nuria Dianova spoke about which caviar is the healthiest.

The most useful

To be fair, the expert suggested comparing both expensive delicacies with the more affordable pollock caviar.

As it turns out, all three types contain vitamins A and E, but black caviar contains the most, and pollock caviar contains the least.

Red caviar is the leader in terms of phosphorus, calcium, potassium, magnesium and iron content, and is also rich in vitamin PP (good for the nervous system).

And pollock caviar is the leader in vitamin B1 content.

Conclusion

Summing up and forming the so-called rating, the nutritionist puts red caviar in first place, calling it super healthy.

In second place is black caviar, and pollock caviar closes out the top three.

But don't rush to give up the latter. Compared to its competitors, pollock caviar has another significant advantage.

The thing is that it contains almost half as many calories, and this is also important.

For reference

Caviar is the eggs of female fish, amphibians, mollusks, echinoderms and other animals that are spawned into the water. The eggs are spherical in shape and their size varies from 0.6 mm to 7 mm.
