When it comes to the health benefits of porridge, just one additive can ruin it. First of all, remember about sugar.
But people who grew up on milk porridges don’t even think about the fact that milk in this case is not the most beneficial product.
In an interview with AiF , endocrinologist and nutritionist Anton Polyakov explained why milk is not the most suitable product for making porridge.
Porridge for breakfast
From a medical point of view, the best porridge for breakfast is oatmeal or buckwheat.
You can include quinoa and flax seeds in your morning diet.
But whatever product you choose, the doctor does not recommend cooking porridge with milk.
This primarily concerns the adult population, among those for whom dairy products cause digestive problems.
It is believed that difficulties with milk digestion may appear after 25 years of age due to a lack of necessary enzymes.
But semolina porridge, rice or instant foods in the morning will not do any good.
These cereals have a high glycemic index, which will affect your blood sugar levels, and they are also less filling.
For reference
