Sleeping Beauty Diet: Is It Possible to Lose Weight While You Sleep?

The weight loss method with the fairy-tale name “Sleeping Beauty” was developed by the German doctor Detlef Pape.

According to its author, it helps to lose 1.5-2 kg per month and does not have any negative impact on health.

To achieve this goal, it is worth dividing the day into four phases.

Phase #1: Activity and a hearty breakfast

This phase lasts from 06:00 to 08:30 and begins with a 30-minute workout, followed by a hearty breakfast, which must necessarily contain complex carbohydrates. This can be porridge, muesli, buns with jam, honey, vegetables and fruits. You cannot eat foods that contain animal protein.

Phase #2: Stair Climbing and Meat

This time period starts at 10:30 and ends at 14:30. Physical activity should gradually decrease – you can limit yourself to walking outside or climbing stairs. Lunch should consist of meat, eggs or fish accompanied by carbohydrates. You can drink whatever you want and even eat dessert, the main thing is not to go beyond reasonable limits.

Phase #3: Muscle Mass, Cottage Cheese and Fish

Between 4:30 and 8:30 p.m., you should engage in physical training aimed at building muscle mass. You should eat dinner before the clock strikes 8 p.m. For your last meal, you can eat meat, fish, cottage cheese, cheese, and eggs, as well as non-starchy vegetables and unsweetened drinks.

Phase #4: Get rid of all the unnecessary stuff

You should go to bed no later than 10:30 PM and sleep for at least 7 hours. This is when your body will burn fat.
