Scientists have named the diet that causes skin aging - check your diet

Trendy diets promise to lose 10 kg in a week, but the price for quick results can be terrible.

Strict restrictions, refusal of fats or carbohydrates lead to the skin losing elasticity, becoming covered with wrinkles, and hair falling out.

Dangerous Diets

For example, the popular keto diet, which relies heavily on proteins and fats, often causes a deficiency of B vitamins.

This disrupts the production of collagen, which is responsible for the youthfulness of the skin.

The other extreme is raw food. Excess fiber irritates the intestines, which is immediately reflected on the face: swelling, acne, and an earthy hue appear.

Even harmless detox smoothies based on spinach and celery can be harmful if you drink them instead of full meals. The thyroid gland, not receiving enough iodine and iron, slows down metabolism, and the skin becomes dry.

Lose weight without harm

To lose weight without harm, avoid radical methods. Add fatty fish, nuts, eggs to your diet - they maintain skin elasticity. And don't forget about water: dehydration is the main cause of early wrinkles.

But how do you know if your diet is bad for your skin?

The first signs are dryness, peeling, loss of tone. If your face feels tight after washing and creams don't help, you may be lacking fatty acids.

Omega-3 from salmon or flaxseed oil restores the lipid barrier, protecting the skin from moisture loss.

Another alarm bell is a dull complexion. This indicates a lack of antioxidants: vitamins A, C, E. Add carrots, citrus fruits, spinach to your menu - they neutralize free radicals that accelerate aging.

Be careful with fasting. Not eating for more than 12 hours slows down cell regeneration.

The skin does not receive amino acids for renewal, it becomes thin and sensitive. If you want to try intermittent fasting, choose a gentle regimen - for example, 14:10, where there are 14 hours of fasting and 10 hours of eating.

And be sure to include bone broth in your diet—it’s rich in collagen and minerals.

And remember: the sun is enemy number 1 for skin on a diet. When there is a deficiency of nutrients, UV rays damage it faster.

Always use SPF cream, even in cloudy weather.
