There is nothing wrong with allowing so-called snacks between main meals.

At the same time, one thought may be disturbing: that snacking will lead to excess weight.

The right snack

From the point of view of nutritionists, snacking is only allowed if a person adheres to a healthy diet.

But this does not mean that additional food intake is necessary or mandatory.

There are several ways to avoid feeling hungry between breakfast, lunch and dinner.

How to Avoid Oversnack

1. First of all, you need to remember that the feeling of satiety depends on the level of fiber consumption.

It is digested more slowly, which means it keeps a person full for a longer period of time.

2. Sometimes a person mistakes thirst for hunger. According to experts, signals of thirst are weaker than signals of hunger.

3. Eliminate white bread, baked goods and other refined carbohydrates from your diet.

They contain virtually no protein or fiber, they are quickly digested and you can’t avoid feeling hungry.

4. Monitor your blood sugar levels. When they are high, a person is more likely to experience hunger and loss of strength.

What to eat to be full

It is believed that snacking can be avoided if you eat crunchy foods (apples, cucumbers, carrots, etc.).

They require longer chewing and take longer to digest.

Be sure to add protein, which is digested more slowly than carbohydrates.

Don't forget about healthy fats - nuts and nut butters, seeds, avocados and fatty fish.

By making a diet from the listed products, you can be sure that hunger will not remind you of itself until lunch.
