The New Year holidays drag on for weeks. For some, they begin on December 24 and end only on January 14, when the Old New Year is celebrated.

This period is usually filled with an abundance of tasty but unhealthy food. In addition, many people prefer a more relaxed and even passive rest.

As a result, a person begins to gain extra pounds in a short time.

The issue of losing weight is becoming relevant.

TV doctor Alexander Myasnikov spoke in more detail about ways to lose weight as part of the program “About the Most Important Thing” on the Russia 1 TV channel.

As the doctor noted, if a person sometimes breaks the diet and overeats, then there is nothing terrible about it. The hormonal system will increase metabolism to maintain balance.

But if overeating is regular, then a restructuring will occur.

In this case, sitting on just apples or oatmeal for some time will be, according to the expert, quite effective.

But you can't starve yourself. This method can be used in extreme cases and under the supervision of doctors.

It is necessary to take into account that if a person starts to starve, then his body experiences stress, hormonal changes will occur, appetite will only increase, and fluid will begin to be retained in the body. As a result, it will not be possible to lose weight, since all the kilograms will quickly return back.
