A constant feeling of hunger can occur due to a lack of vitamin D.
It could also be due to thyroid disease.
General practitioner and nutritionist Elena Solomatina spoke about this.
The expert named the reasons for the constant feeling of hunger in a conversation with the publication “Uznay.ru” .
Why do I always want to eat?
Firstly, a constant desire to eat something may be associated with thyroid pathologies such as thyrotoxicosis and hyperthyroidism.
As Solomatina explained, these diseases activate many processes in the body, including digestion.
Secondly, constant hunger can be caused by diets and nutrient deficiencies, particularly vitamin D.
Which is especially relevant in winter, the specialist noted.
Thirdly, hunger can be increased by eating Asian cuisine and fast food.
This is because such foods contain flavor enhancers such as monosodium glutamate.
In addition, increased appetite may be caused by eating high-calorie foods in small quantities, the nutritionist added.
