Making fried carrots and onions seems like a simple and ordinary task only for experienced cooks.
Some people still believe that you need to start with carrots.
Expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" Yulia Arkhipova - a cook, fourth-class baker told how to do it right.
What to fry first
The sequence of preparing frying in a common frying pan is always the same.
First you have to fry the onion, then add the carrots. There are no other options.
It doesn’t matter what dish the frying is for – soup, fish, meat dishes or gravy.
Housewives who fry carrots first believe that carrots are hard, so they need more time to cook.
But this is wrong.
The thing is that during processing, carrots release juice, which is why the onion is not fried, but stewed and turns into a semi-liquid substance.
That is why the onion is fried first, and after it turns golden, the carrots are added.
The order does not matter only if the carrots and onions are fried in different pans.
If you plan to cook meat, you need to fry the onions separately.
It will release juice, which will not allow the vegetable to be properly fried to the desired state.
