Pelmeni are always delicious, and also quick and easy. But how about making the process of cooking the dish easier and raising its taste to a higher level?
You will be able to do this if you follow the advice of the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, chef Yulia Arkhipova, who advises adding not only salt and bay leaf to the broth during the cooking of dumplings, but also a piece of butter.
Why add oil to dumplings
The thing is that when the contents of the pan boil while cooking dumplings, the broth can splash out of the pan, and butter prevents this behavior.
Also, thanks to the butter floating among the dumplings, they will acquire a delicate creamy taste, and the broth will become richer.
Well, the last but not least advantage on the list: oil prevents the dumplings from sticking together and sticking to the bottom and sides of the pan.
Is there anything that can replace the oil?
Perhaps, for some reason, you do not want to use butter when cooking dumplings - for example, because you don’t have any.
In this case, you can use vegetable fat - 1 tablespoon or 20 ml of vegetable fat is enough. However, do not be afraid to overdo it: dumplings, like porridge, cannot be spoiled by butter.
