Some housewives never pour boiling water into the pancake base. Many don't even know that it can be done.
Other housewives always use a hot ingredient when making pancakes.
Who is doing the right thing? The answer is obvious: those who use the supplement.
The thing is that boiling water improves the consistency of the dough. As a result, the pancakes turn into a real culinary masterpiece.
An expert of the online publication Belnovosti in the field of cooking, chef, and fourth-class baker Yulia Arkhipova told about an interesting culinary trick.
What happens if you add boiling water to pancake batter
If the water used in the pancake base is very hot, the flour will boil.
The result will be a dough of ideal consistency.
This base will make very thin, incredibly delicious, tender and strong pancakes. And the dish will also acquire holes. In other words, the pancakes will be lacy.
The dish can be eaten simply with sour cream. Or you can make tubes or envelopes with filling.
How to Properly Add Boiling Water to Pancake Dough
This can only be done after adding all the other ingredients.
First, there should be three raw eggs, 250 milliliters of milk, salt (0.5 tsp), and granulated sugar (1.5 tbsp) in a bowl.
The mass must be beaten with a whisk. One and a half cups of flour should be poured into the resulting liquid.
After mixing the dough again, add another 250 milliliters of milk.
After the third "processing" of the pancake base with a whisk, gradually pour a glass of boiling water into the bowl. The dough must be stirred.
Next, the mass needs to be stirred once again. The result should be a fairly liquid base with a thin foam "cap".
