The main task after celebrating the New Year is to get yourself in order and get your body working again after the stress you have experienced.

Stress in this case is a night of feasting with the consumption of foods and drinks that are not the healthiest from the point of view of nutritionists.

In an interview with AiF, doctor Nadezhda Chernyshova explained how to do this correctly and what you need to eat for breakfast on January 1.

New Year's breakfast

So, on January 1st it is better to start with rolled oats or millet porridge.

An omelette is an alternative. You can focus on a large amount of fresh vegetables, as well as leafy and spicy greens.

The benefits of such a breakfast are not only in the basic satiety, but also in the vitamins and fiber that will help you cope with overeating.

To cope with a hangover, “hot meat broth or a rich soup like khash” will help.

But the doctor advises to avoid sweet carbonated drinks, as well as packaged juices.

It is better to drink mineral water and in general on January 1st the expert advises drinking more liquids.

As for the folk tradition of finishing salads prepared and dressed with mayonnaise the day before, it is better to throw them away.

Eating food that has been left in a room at room temperature for several hours can lead to poisoning, Chernyshova emphasized.
