In an interview with radio " Sputnik ", nutritionist and dietitian Anna Belousova spoke about the beneficial properties of the internal organs of animals and birds.

Not only are they cheaper than fish and meat, they are often much healthier.

Heart

There are no contraindications for eating the heart. But in order to take care of the health of the heart and blood vessels, as well as to avoid the appearance of extra pounds, visible fat from the heart should be removed before cooking.

Brain

The cholesterol content is a contraindication to the consumption of this delicacy. In other cases, brains and pates with this product can be called a delicacy.

Liver

Liver is mistakenly called harmful, believing that toxins and other substances settle in it. But it is useful for iron deficiency anemia - it contains more iron than beef.

Kidneys

They cannot be called a super-healthy product, but they certainly cannot cause harm to health unless there are contraindications.

If you have high levels of uric acid or cholesterol, it is recommended to limit your consumption of offal.
