Healthy eating does not mean giving up meat and switching completely to vegetables and other plant foods.
It is rather an exclusion from the diet of those products that cannot literally benefit the body. The first item on such lists is usually sausage.
In an interview with NEWS.ru, Doctor of Medical Sciences and nutritionist Mikhail Ginzburg spoke about the consequences of regular consumption of sausage.
According to the expert, regular consumption of sausage products takes years off your life.
The reason is that this is meat that has undergone deep industrial processing.
By abusing these products, a person must get used to the idea that every 100 grams of sausage or ham can have a negative impact on life expectancy.
Ginzburg advises to stop consuming highly processed foods, which will help restore the body's resources.
In particular, the abuse of sausages has a negative impact on the intestinal microflora, and also increases the risk of developing age-related diseases - atherosclerosis or coronary heart disease.
It is also important to remember that sausages contain a lot of salt and additives, “which we don’t fully know how they will ultimately affect us,” the doctor warns.
If you can’t give up sausage, then you need to reduce its consumption to 20 grams, but even in this case you can’t eat it every day.
