Why? Dr. Hiroshi Nakamura , author of The Tokyo Diet, revealed the secret to Forbes .

"Carbs at night cause glycation, a process in which sugar breaks down collagen and elastin."

A study by the University of Tokyo found that women who consumed carbohydrates after 6 p.m. developed wrinkles 30% faster.

Cheese, a favorite evening snack for many, contains tyramine, which disrupts collagen production.
