Nutritionist and member of the Russian Association for Health and Nutrition Yulia Sharapova spoke about this.

She listed working gastronomic life hacks for combating migraines in a conversation with Life.ru.

What foods help with migraines

As Sharapova explained, proper nutrition is an important tool in the fight against migraines.

Firstly, products containing vitamin D, such as fish oil, help reduce the intensity and frequency of migraines.

This vitamin reduces the risk of frequent headaches, the nutritionist noted.

Secondly, it is necessary to include foods rich in magnesium in your diet.

This microelement is found in large quantities in greens, seeds, legumes, and avocados.

Thirdly, you can get rid of migraines by adding offal to your menu – kidneys, liver, heart.

They contain alpha-lipoic acid, which is important for the heart and blood vessels.

Beef liver is especially useful. It saturates the body with riboflavin, which effectively prevents headaches.

Herbal teas (chamomile, lemon balm, currant, linden, thyme) and ginger will also help in the fight against migraines.
