Excess salt is harmful to health. It can cause problems with blood pressure, heart and blood vessels.

Moreover, such a component can be hidden and contained in many popular products, said Dr. Eteri Kolesnik in a conversation with Vechernyaya Moskva .

The specialist added that on average, everyone eats 11 g of this ingredient per day, which is twice the norm (5 g).

The thing is that many people forget that such a component can already be found in many products, for example, dairy, eggs and even vegetables.

80 percent of the salt in the diet is “hidden” salt, which is usually found in large quantities in processed foods that many people love (sausages, cheeses, bread).

A typical fast food set may contain about 4.5 g of salt, while a flavorful shashlik may contain from 4 to 8 g.

There are many of these harmful components in ready-made Asian treats and fast food products.
