Bad dreams can cause problems, and as a result, a person wakes up not only upset, but also tired.

As a result, the quality of night rest decreases and the condition worsens.

The reasons may be different, for example, stress. But there is another unexpected reason that few people guess about.

TV doctor Alexander Myasnikov stated that the problem could be caused by taking medications for hypertension.

The specialist said this on the show “The Most Important Thing” on the Russia 1 TV channel.

“Hypertension drugs such as amlodipine, calcium channel blockers, can trigger nightmares,” the specialist explained.

He also added on air that the drug prazosin was often used to treat hypertension in the past. But now this drug is used to get rid of bad dreams.

When you are ill, it is important not to self-medicate. You need to consult with your doctor and prescribe a course of treatment according to individual parameters.
