Experts from Stanford University have listed methods that will help you quickly improve your mood.
As it turns out, the secret lies in proper breathing.
The corresponding publication appeared in the Daily Mail .
As the scientists noted in their work, more than 100 people took part in the experiment, who were ultimately divided into several groups.
The first team spent just five minutes a day doing cyclic breathing, which means they inhaled slowly, took another short breath, and exhaled slowly.
The second group spent time rhythmically inhaling and exhaling while holding their breath (boxer's breathing).
There was also a team that focused on cyclic hyperventilation. They had to take a deep breath in, then exhale completely with 30 short exhalations.
In addition, the researchers assigned one group to spend time meditating rather than doing breathing exercises.
As a result, the scientists found that those who did breathing exercises for 5 minutes every day felt significantly better and experienced less anxiety.
