7 "healthy foods" that are actually harmful to beauty and health

In today's world, where information about healthy eating is available in abundance, many of us strive to choose only "healthy" products.

However, it is not known whether all of them really bring only benefits to the body.

Below we look at seven popular foods that are often considered “healthy,” but can have negative effects on our health and beauty.

And if beauty in the modern world has been restored, the same cannot yet be said about health, so it is extremely important to watch what we eat, says Maria Kapralova .

Juice in tetra packs and more

Many people consider juices to be a healthy alternative to soda. However, commercial juices contain large amounts of sugar and artificial additives. Even 100% natural juices often lack fiber, which leads to a rapid increase in blood sugar levels. Instead, it is better to eat fresh fruit or make your own juices.

This product can also be made from low-quality raw materials or even based on laboratory analogues of fruits and berries; of course, you won’t be able to expect any benefit from such “juice”.

Yogurts with fillings

Natural yogurt is a great source of probiotics and calcium, but many store-bought yogurts contain high amounts of sugar, artificial flavors and preservatives.

The manufacturer, of course, can be understood - preservatives increase the shelf life of the product, which brings more profit, but there is no talk of public health here.

These additives can not only contribute to weight gain, but also cause digestive problems. It is better to choose unsweetened yogurts and add fresh fruit or honey to them.

Cereal bars

Cereal bars are often marketed as a healthy snack. However, many of them are high in sugar and low in fiber - in other words, easy carbohydrates that cause blood sugar spikes.

They may also contain added trans fats and preservatives, which can be harmful to your health. Instead, snack on dried nuts, seeds, or fresh fruit, but don't overdo it, as they are high in calories.

Salads with all kinds of ready-made sauces and dressings

Salads are considered one of the healthiest foods, but many store-bought salad dressings contain a lot of sugar, salt, and artificial ingredients. This can negate the benefits of vegetables.

It is best to prepare sauces yourself using olive oil, lemon juice and spices. Try raw pressed live oils, and you will simply not be able to dress your salad with mayonnaise, it will simply not taste good!

Low-fat products

Low-fat products often seem like the best choice for those watching their figure. However, manufacturers often add more sugar and chemical additives to such products to improve the taste.

This can lead to weight gain and poor health. It is important to remember that moderate consumption of natural fats is good for the body. Well, the process of defatting is an additional processing or reprocessing of raw materials, that is, not cottage cheese, but a semi-finished product from it.

Glazed Nuts

Nuts are a great source of healthy fats and protein, but coated or sugar-coated nuts can be very high in calories and unhealthy.

Often such products contain trans fats and preservatives. It is best to choose raw or slightly dried nuts without additives. Nuts themselves have about 600 kcal per 100 g and with the addition of glaze, they become a "bomb" for the gastrointestinal tract.

Lenten meat substitutes

There is a belief that lean meat substitutes such as soy patties or vegetarian sausages are a healthier alternative to meat.

However, many of them contain large amounts of sodium, preservatives and various additives. In addition, some substitutes can cause allergic reactions or digestive problems.

It is best to include a variety of protein sources in your diet, such as legumes, fish or chicken. If you are a conscious vegetarian, it is best to learn how to cook your own food, as stores are generally not adapted to this diet.

The importance of a balanced diet cannot be overstated, but it is important to remember that even foods that seem healthy can have negative consequences for your health and beauty.

It is always worth carefully reading the ingredients on the packaging and choosing natural products without unnecessary additives.

Remember: the best nutrition is a variety of fresh and minimally processed foods that will help maintain health and beauty at a high level!
