Accumulated fat on the abdomen is not so much an aesthetic problem as a physical health problem.

You need to lose weight not because your waist doesn’t fit into your favorite jeans, but because visceral fat (the same fat that accumulates on your stomach) poses a serious threat.

In an interview with the publication “Klops”, nutritionist Marina Stepanenko spoke about whether it is possible to quickly and easily get rid of belly fat.

Experts distinguish several types of fat in the human body, and the most dangerous of them is visceral.

Fat can cause problems not only with the heart, but also with the abdominal organs. In addition to hypertension, it provokes the development of such diseases as diabetes, fatty liver, and metabolic syndrome.

What is the reason?

The reason for deposits in the waist area is improper nutrition - consumption of simple sugars, flour, fatty foods, and all this against the background of a lack of physical activity.

Signs of a problem

To understand that visceral fat has long become a problem, you need to measure your waist size.

For women, a value exceeding 80 cm is critical, and for men, 94 cm.

How to fight

Only a comprehensive approach will help – diet plus exercise.

But you won't be able to get rid of visceral fat quickly. Only regular exercise, running, swimming, cycling will strengthen your muscles and help burn accumulated fat.

It is important to exclude fatty foods and overeating from your diet, eat more vegetables and fruits, as well as protein.
