Have you or someone you know ever encountered a situation where, after successfully losing a few pounds on a diet, they came back with a few more?

Surely you will give a positive answer, because cases of rapid weight gain after losing weight are, unfortunately, quite common.

So, if after a diet you see a “plus” on the scale again, this is the infamous “yo-yo effect”.

What can be done to avoid having to face such, undoubtedly, negative consequences?

First, avoid extreme low-calorie diets – they provoke stress and subsequent weight gain.

Secondly, try to reduce your alcohol consumption (if you can’t completely eliminate it from your life), stop smoking, increase your physical activity and switch to a healthy diet.

This means that you need to structure your diet in such a way that you consume the optimal ratio of proteins, fats and carbohydrates.

And thirdly, protect yourself from stress as much as possible – in such a state it is easy to overstep your limits, endlessly consuming buns and sweets in an attempt to “eat away” your grief.
