Kefir and yogurt are certainly products that are beneficial for digestion and contain lactic acid bacteria that are essential for health.
However, the process of preparing the products is different and, despite the fact that they are similar in some ways, the products have different effects on the body.
Nutritionist and consultant Alexey Kabanov told aif.ru about the difference between kefir and yogurt.
The expert noted that due to the more sour taste, daily consumption of kefir can increase stomach acidity.
He recommends consuming acidic foods no more than once a week.
It is less sour than kefir, but often contains a large amount of sugar.
Which is also not good for your health if you don’t eat it in moderation.
The products are only useful if you consume them in doses of 200-300 ml and no more than 1-2 times a week.
In this case, we can talk about saturating the body with beneficial bacteria, protein, calcium and proteins, as well as improving digestion.
But it is better to choose yoghurts with natural ingredients and without sugar. Such a product can be used instead of sour cream.
