Have you purchased butter but have doubts about the quality of the product?

Then follow one simple step to find out if the yellow bar contains unnatural components and unwanted impurities.

To obtain the necessary information, simply throw a piece of butter into a container of boiling water.

Next, you need to analyze the condition of the product.

When in very hot liquid, high-quality oil exhibits one behavior, while low-quality oil exhibits a completely different behavior.

A simple way to check the quality of butter

First, take some deep container and pour into it water that has just been brought to a boil.

Next, cut a small piece from the butter block.

Place this piece of product into boiling water.

The rapid appearance of a greasy spot on the surface of the liquid is a very good sign. It indicates that you have purchased natural oil.

But if the piece of butter starts to fall apart instead of melting, then things are bad: most likely, the product contains low-quality components and dangerous impurities.

Low Temperature Oil Test

There is also a “reverse” way to check the quality of a fatty product.

Place the block in the freezer. After a few hours, remove the butter from the refrigerator and try to cut the product.

High-quality frozen butter is unlikely to form even slices. It will most likely only be possible to break it.

For reference

Butter is a food product made by separating or churning cream obtained from cow's milk, and less commonly from the milk of other large and small cattle.
