Housewives often face the problem when the contents of the sugar bowl turn into one lump.
But that's not the worst of it - things are much worse if we're talking about a whole bag of sugar, or even two.
Fortunately, there is one method that our grandfathers used.

The first thing you need to do is to put the sugar in a container that closes tightly with a lid. At the same time, using a knife, try to break the large lump into smaller pieces - this will speed up the process.
The only thing left to do is place a piece of bread here (any kind will do).
If you don't have any baked goods on hand, use half an apple.
All that's left is to close the container with a lid and put it away overnight - in the morning the sugar will become crumbly. If the miracle doesn't happen, just leave the bread or apple with sugar for a little longer - another 12-16 hours.
