But the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, chef Yulia Arkhipova, believes that dishes prepared from vegetables grown on your own plot are much tastier.

But how can you preserve them for many months?

You can use a simple method - freezing. Yes, this method is suitable for cabbage as well, if you follow some rules.

How to Freeze Cabbage to Keep It Tasty

1. Place the head of cabbage on a cutting board so that the stem of the cabbage is facing down, then cut it with a knife first into two halves, and then into quarters.

2. Bring a large pot of water to a boil and place the quarters in the boiling water for 1 minute.

3. After 60 seconds of cooking, transfer the vegetable pieces into a bowl of ice water, which should be prepared in advance.

4. Remove the cabbage from the water to place on a plate and pat dry with paper towels. At this point, you can also remove the core and stem and shred the cabbage.

5. Place the cabbage in bags and remove excess air from them. Now the vegetable is ready to go into the freezer.
