Sometimes our meowing four-legged friends exhibit very strange behavior.

So, any fluffy creature can suddenly start to “butt” its owner.

It will happen something like this: the cat will start pushing the person with its head. The animal will probably use its forehead, cheeks and the back of its head.

Has your cat started to behave in the manner described above?

Don't worry! On the contrary, you can start to rejoice: it turns out that such "butting" on the part of cats is a very good sign.

Cat butts a person: what does it mean

If a meowing pet starts to butt, then know that the animal is actually showing friendliness, trust and affection.

True, the cat has specific goals.

It is possible that the fluffy one is trying to leave “marks” on a person: there are glands on the cat’s forehead that secrete special compounds.

This is a good sign: the pet will not “mark” a person whom it considers bad or a stranger.

Or it may be that butting is connected with the cat’s desire to attract attention.

Perhaps the animal wants to be petted or fed.

In this case, butting is also a positive phenomenon: a furry creature can behave this way only with a person whom it perceives as a source of care and safety.
