Veterinarians and other experts have long been saying that a dry and hot nose in a dog is not a reason to be sad about the pet’s health.
But other dog owners do not know other ways to monitor their dog’s well-being.
The head of the Russian Cynological Federation, Vladimir Golubev, spoke about which signals need to be responded to unambiguously in an interview with RIA Novosti .
The dog got sick
If your pet is sick, this is a 100% sign of serious illness.
Nausea can be caused by poisoning, and in such cases you need to act without delay.
An unsteady gait, loss of coordination, and convulsions may indicate malaise.
But nausea can also be caused by physiological processes, that is, when there is no talk of illness.
These can be one-off cases, such as motion sickness in transport, eating grass while walking, overexcitement, overeating, toxicosis.
All these cases do not pose a direct threat to the dog's health.
Cases can be both isolated and multiple, but not frequent. Only a specialist can name the reason.
And another reason to think about it is nausea and vomiting caused by helminth infection.
These symptoms may also indicate neoplasms in the gastrointestinal tract, liver disease, pancreas disease, and even nervous system disease or heat stroke.
