During the Soviet era, things really weren't as bad as some people try to tell us.
It is difficult to say whether some habits of individual Soviet citizens can be considered shortcomings. But they are the ones that form a negative attitude towards the bygone era.
Here are some habits of a typical Soviet citizen that certainly don’t make life better.
Habit one: gastronomic
In those days it was customary to eat everything with bread. And to this day some people even eat pasta with bread.
Of course, bread is the head of everything and the shortest path to satiety, but modern nutritionists have a different point of view.
Habit two: self-medication
Doctors say that self-medication has never led to anything good. But instead of getting a specialist's advice, many go straight to the pharmacy.
In fact, modern people are guilty of the same thing, who, instead of visiting a doctor, consult on the Internet or ask their friends for advice. In any case, it is an unhealthy habit.
Habit Three: Utility
Soviet people never threw anything away, especially if it could be repaired or could still be useful at the dacha.
Here we can also note the habit of using the balcony in the apartment as a storage room or warehouse.
At the same time, the habit of wearing well-worn clothes at home and saving a favorite T-shirt for a special occasion emerged.
Habit number four: procrastination
Many had a dress suit hanging in their closet, a pair of shoes and a chic set of dishes behind glass in a sideboard. But they used it so rarely that putting it off for later became a habit.
Perhaps, of all habits, this one is the most terrible.
