All summer residents know how difficult it is to grow healthy bell pepper seedlings.
The seeds germinate and sprout with difficulty, and you also have to transplant them, which can also have consequences if you handle the seedlings carelessly.
Anastasia Kovrizhnykh, an expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" - a scientist, agronomist and landscape designer, told whether it is possible to grow peppers without picking.

How to proceed
Experienced gardeners know that seeds can be soaked, and then they will germinate faster.
But you can do without picking if you follow the following scheme:
- choose loose, nutritious soil based on peat, turf soil and humus (2:5:3);
- the soil should retain moisture well, but drainage will not hurt;
- Sow seeds in individual cups with a volume of at least 200-500 ml;
- Be sure to prepare the seeds for sowing.
How to prepare seeds
You can soak them in a weak solution of potassium permanganate for 20 minutes, then rinse in clean water.
A much safer method is to keep the seeds in a growth stimulator solution (4-6 hours).
After this, the seeds are placed in moist soil to a depth of 1 cm, lightly sprinkled with earth.
Cover the container with film and put it in a place where the air temperature is kept between 25-28 degrees Celsius.
After the shoots appear, remove the film and place the seedlings in a well-lit room with an air temperature of 20-25 degrees Celsius during the day and 16-18 at night.
After 2 weeks from the day the seedlings appear, feed the seedlings.
Peppers can be planted in the ground after the plants have 8-12 leaves and the soil has warmed up to +15 degrees Celsius.
Conclusion
By sowing peppers in individual cups, you can avoid picking, reduce stress during transplantation, get seedlings with a more developed root system and save a lot of time.
