It is known that after tomatoes the soil will always need special care, as pathogenic microorganisms may remain in the soil.

If the appropriate procedures are not carried out, there is a high risk of plant diseases next year.

There are many methods of soil treatment that are based on various purchased preparations or on the use of improvised means. But there is the most budgetary and incredibly effective method that will not only destroy pathogenic flora, but also rid the soil of pests and their larvae.

How to disinfect soil with film

The first thing you need to do is to perform the primary soil treatment procedure. You need to dig it up and remove all possible plant residues. Then the ground should be leveled. A rake will do the job.

Next, we carry out high-quality watering of the soil. There should be a lot of moisture: the effectiveness of the method will directly depend on this.

Then take a film of the appropriate size and cover the bed with tomatoes. Remember that there should be no damage or holes in the film.

Then we secure the film along the edges with stones or boards.

After you remove the film, it is worth using phytosporin. Thanks to this method, the soil will again become safe after harvesting tomatoes.
