Growing and caring for eggplants is accompanied by a number of difficulties, but everything can be solved if you use the advice of professionals.

This culture is capricious, heat-loving and requires attention. Not only the air temperature is important, but also the distance between plantings.

Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , an expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", an agronomist and landscape designer, told at what distance to plant eggplant seedlings.

Let us remember that it is better to grow eggplants in peat pots, as they do not like transplanting and other disturbances.

When to transplant seedlings

Usually seedlings are planted in open ground in mid-June. In addition, the time of day is important.

It is recommended to plant seedlings in the evening or in cloudy weather.

How to prepare for transplantation

14 days before planting, the seedlings should be treated with a solution of copper sulfate (0.5%).

This way you can avoid the development of fungal diseases.

Then the seedlings begin to harden under an open window, and when ready, they begin to leave them in the fresh air for several hours.

The day before transplanting, the seedlings are watered generously and left in the open air overnight.

How to make holes

The holes for the pots are made 2-3 centimeters deeper than the size of the container itself.

The interval between holes is not less than 30-40 centimeters.

Don't forget to water the seedlings at first, hill them up after watering, and apply fertilizer afterward on damp soil.

Previously we talked about how to prepare seedlings for transplanting into the beds .
