Sometimes it happens that violets, with pots filling the entire windowsill, delight their owner exclusively with lush greenery, but not with flowering.

According to the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , the situation is easy to fix.

To do this, you will have to follow the following procedure.

If the violet refuses to bloom, you need to pick off all the dry leaves, as well as remove several lower leaves and transplant the plant into new soil - loose and well-drained water and air.

Please note: you won't be able to use the same pot - try a smaller pot instead, as the large volume of soil will cause the violet to grow roots at the expense of flowering.

Another step that needs to be taken is to change the lighting to more intense.

The light should be bright but diffused, so the best way out of the situation would be to place the plant on an eastern or western window.

Finally, do not forget about fertilizing with special fertilizers for violets, which contain all the microelements they need. Additional feeding should be done every 2-3 weeks during the period of active growth.
