The soil is of primary importance in the process of sowing broccoli seedlings.
An expert of the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh said that for this purpose you can use either a ready-made soil mixture from the store or one that you prepared yourself.
For this you will need the following ingredients:
- 10 kg of garden soil;
- 1 kg of wood ash;
- 0.2 kg chalk (can be replaced with lime);
- 0.2 kg of sand.
At the same time, the most important component – garden soil – must meet a number of requirements.
First of all, it is worth noting that the soil in which cabbage or other broccoli-related crops were previously grown is not suitable.
The soil should be well mixed. Make sure that it does not contain large particles or foreign inclusions.
Before starting sowing, the soil mixture should be thoroughly moistened.
After this, leave it for a few hours so that it remains moist, but at the same time acquires a crumbly quality.
