Sowing pepper seedlings is a responsible process that requires certain skills and abilities.

An expert of the online publication BelNovosti, agronomist, and landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh explained why summer residents sometimes have to observe a complete lack of seedlings.

The first and perhaps the most important mistake is the wrong choice of seeds.

Seedlings will appear only if the seed material is of high quality, fresh and has not been stored for a long time.

By the way, about storage. The germination of seeds decreases also when they were stored incorrectly, i.e. the place did not meet such characteristics as dryness, coolness, absence of direct sunlight.

Failure can also occur if the soil was chosen incorrectly.

In order for young shoots to appear above the surface of the earth, the soil must be fertile and contain sufficient nutrients.

Pay attention to whether the watering is organized correctly. Excessive moisture leads to rotting of seeds, while as a result of its deficiency they will lose the ability to germinate.
