What Fruits Cause Obesity? You Eat Them Every Day

Fruits seem like a safe snack, but some of them can add inches to your waist without you even noticing.

First on the "black list" is the banana. One ripe fruit contains up to 25 g of sugar - that's almost 6 teaspoons.

If you eat bananas every day, fructose turns into belly fat. Overripe bananas are especially dangerous: they contain up to 30 g of sugar, and the glycemic index is off the charts.

The second enemy of the figure is grapes. It is easy to eat a kilogram of small berries at once, receiving 100 g of sugar and 600 kcal.

The third fruit is mango. Its sweetness masks 45 g of carbohydrates per 300 g of pulp. And if you combine it with yogurt or cottage cheese, you get a carbohydrate-protein bomb that disrupts metabolism.

The fourth is dried fruits. Dates, dried apricots and raisins lose water when dried, so sugar makes up to 70% of their mass. A handful of dried apricots = 5 spoons of sugar.

Fifth is persimmon. It has a lot of fructose and little fiber, which provokes insulin surges.

But what if you want something sweet? Choose fruits with a low glycemic index: green apples, grapefruits, kiwi.

Eat them in the first half of the day, when the body is more active in processing carbohydrates. And never combine them with fats (nuts, cream) - this slows down the absorption of sugar and increases its conversion into fat.

Tip: Replace your evening fruit snack with vegetables with hummus or avocado.

If you can't live without something sweet, eat a piece of dark chocolate. It contains less sugar and suppresses your appetite.

Check your shopping cart: it might contain the main culprit of excess weight.
