Lard, which can strengthen the immune system and solve some health problems, has virtually no contraindications.
Exceptions are gastrointestinal diseases, acute pancreatitis, cholecystitis and age.
At what age can lard cause more harm than good, dietitian and nutritionist Gulshat Siraeva told the publication “Doctor Peter ”.
Benefits of lard
It is not prohibited to eat lard in the following diseases:
- tuberculosis,
- bronchial diseases,
- cold,
- dystrophies.
It helps to resist various diseases, cope with hunger for a long time and warm up in the cold, being a source of energy for the body.
But there were some contraindications.
Contraindications
1. It is not recommended to consume lard if you have the following diseases:
- gastritis in case of exacerbation,
- acute pancreatitis,
- cholecystitis,
- ulcer of the duodenum or stomach.
2. Another important point is age.
Lard should not be included in the diet of children under 3 years of age.
People over 70 years of age would also be better off eliminating it from their diet.
The reason is that a large amount of fat puts stress on the internal organs.
It is difficult for the body to assimilate it without the previous activity and maturity of enzymes, as well as normal functioning of the gallbladder.
Therefore, discomfort, indigestion, nausea, as well as other ailments and deterioration of health may occur.
