Television and Digestion
In a normal situation, the body secretes gastric juice, enzymes and hormones during eating.
Among them, insulin and leptin stand out in particular – they are responsible for digestion.
But due to the broadcast TV programs and events on the screen, the brain is distracted and activates other processes.
Because of this minor failure, the body cannot decide whether to start the processes necessary for digestion or whether to stop them.
As a result, watching TV slows down the functions responsible for digestion, disrupts hormone production, and dulls the feeling of satiety.
All this leads to overeating with subsequent problems.
