The geisha diet for weight loss appeared relatively recently, and its creator remains unknown.

Although the diet is very strict, it has its fans, which is not surprising - following the diet for 5-7 days promises a loss of 5 kg or more.

The diet does help to lose weight, but the price of such a victory is high. Therapist and gastroenterologist Anastasia Timoshchenko warns that the diet can be followed for no more than five days due to the lack of proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals.

What can you eat on the geisha diet

The geisha diet for weight loss includes only three products: rice, green tea and cow's milk. There are special requirements for them: the rice must be brown (unpolished) and cooked without salt and oil, cow's milk should be chosen with moderate fat content (1.5% or 2.5%), sugar can be added to green tea.

The menu for all five days is monotonous and meager:

  • breakfast: two cups of unsweetened green tea (with milk if desired);
  • lunch: 250 g unsalted rice and one cup of warm milk;
  • Dinner: 250 g unsalted rice and one cup of green tea with milk.

Between meals, you can drink one or two additional cups of green tea without milk or still water in any quantity.
