It would seem logical. But it is not that simple.
It turns out that a very low calorie diet can only harm a person.
And it is possible that the lost weight will return with a noticeable “reserve”.
Why is a sharp reduction in caloric intake dangerous?
The rule “the fewer calories, the faster the weight loss” works as long as the daily figure is more than 1200 kcal.
A person who consumes 500-1000 kcal per day will, of course, also lose weight. But only at first.
Such a meager diet contributes to increased fatigue, irritability, a feeling of weakness, a worsening mood, and a constant feeling of hunger.
And if there is a “breakdown” in the diet (and with such a caloric diet it becomes almost inevitable), then the person will most likely face a lack of positive weight loss results.
500, 800 or 1000 kcal per day is too little. The indicator should be at least 1200 kcal. And only if a person does not face physical activity and sits at home all day.
If there are at least minimal loads, then the indicator should be even higher. Otherwise, it is unlikely that you will lose weight.
