Dieting isn't just about losing weight. Some diets have health benefits, like the MIND diet.

Its goal is to delay Alzheimer's disease and improve brain health.

What to eat on the MIND diet

The list of products that will benefit the brain includes the following.

Leafy vegetables

It is recommended to eat spinach, kale, arugula and others at least 6 times a week - they contain vitamin E, folic acid, flavonoids, which reduce the risk of dementia.

Berries

Include strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries and other berries in your diet at least twice a week, since they contain antioxidants in addition to other useful substances. Polyphenols, for example, can delay cognitive impairment.

Nuts

Healthy fats, protein and vitamin E – this is how you can briefly describe the composition of nuts. To provide the brain with the necessary dosage of this vitamin, you should eat 5 handfuls of nuts per week.

Olive oil

The polyunsaturated fatty acids that are present in its composition are needed by both the brain and the heart.

Fish

Eating fish weekly will only benefit your brain, as your body will receive a large amount of protein and unsaturated fatty acids.

Wine

Wine contains the antioxidant resveratrol, which is beneficial for the body as a whole and for the brain in particular. Important: we are talking about small doses of alcohol.
