Scientists from Brazil have found that vegetarian or vegan diets are beneficial for the body.

People who follow this type of diet are less likely to encounter coronavirus.

An experiment was conducted with the participation of 700 volunteers.

The doctors took into account the participants’ level of health, the presence of obesity, physical activity and chronic diseases.

The results showed that partially or completely avoiding animal products helps provide some protection against the virus.

There were significantly more reported cases of COVID-19 among those participants who ate meat.

Brazilian doctors are of the opinion that a plant-based diet also has a positive effect on the heart and strengthens the immune system.
