Everyone knows from childhood that porridge is a must. But at the same time, such a dish can easily turn into a real poison for health if you make some mistakes during preparation.

Doctor Grant Shekhyan spoke about this in more detail in an interview with representatives of the publication Doctor Peter .

He noted that adding butter and fried vegetables, although they enhance the taste of the porridge, also increases the level of cholesterol, which quickly clogs blood vessels.

You shouldn't add salt to such dishes either. Salt causes swelling.

The doctor added in a conversation with journalists that many people prefer to use porridge as a side dish to some dish, for example, to cutlets. It is better not to do this.

It is important to understand that porridge is a separate and independent dish.

Another cooking mistake is heat treatment, which destroys some of the useful elements in the cereal. As a result, the treat becomes useless for the body. It is much better to soak the grains overnight in water or low-fat kefir.

Shehyan also adds more oatmeal, buckwheat and millet porridge to her diet.
