How to make your apartment cozy and comfortable: tips that are relevant before the New Year holidays

It would be unreasonable to expect to solve all design problems in one evening.

But if you just want to add a little coziness to your home and make it more comfortable, then this is quite possible – if you use the advice of the expert of the online publication “BelNovosti”, designer Yulia Tychino.

Fill the corners with indoor plants

If there is an empty corner in your apartment, it means that there was a mistake in its layout. But if this happens, there is no point in reproaching yourself - fill the empty space with a flower or a tree in a beautiful pot.

Large specimens with wide leaves will look especially good, planted in simple and laconic tubs, textile baskets or clay pots with a pronounced texture.

Use books

Do you have books? Don't hide them behind closed bookcase doors.

Try leaving a stack of 2-3 copies on the nightstand, and place a figurine on top, which in this case will not look too small against the wall. You can also place a lamp on the books if one of them is lower than the other.

Place books everywhere - on nightstands, chests of drawers and shelves - to turn monotonous furniture into a bright interior element.

Buy transparent furniture

Transparent furniture, which has the property of seemingly dissolving in space, is at the peak of popularity.

Chairs and tables made of acrylic or lucite are perfect for the interior of even the smallest apartment, as they do not clutter the space and do not create a feeling of crampedness.

You can start with small details, such as a transparent lamp or a shelf. Place a simple glass vase with flowers on it, and you will see how the surrounding environment is transformed.

For reference

Design is the activity of designing the aesthetic properties of industrial products (“artistic design”), as well as the result of this activity (for example, in such phrases as “car design”).
