Did you have a lot of mashed potatoes left over from last night's dinner?
You and your family don't feel like finishing that side dish? Well, we get it: reheated mashed potatoes aren't as tasty as freshly made ones.
What should you do with the dish then? Throw it away?
Of course not! After all, potato mass can be turned into a real culinary masterpiece.
To do this, you need to give the side dish a certain shape and use several additional ingredients.
As a result, you will get beautiful and very tasty “nests”.
The recipe for this interesting dish was shared by the expert of the online publication Belnovosti in the field of cooking, chef, fourth-class baker Yulia Arkhipova.
How to Make Potato Nests
First you need to prepare the filling.
Wash 400 grams of champignons, cut them and put the resulting mushroom pieces into a preheated frying pan.
After a couple of minutes, add chopped onions (half an onion will do), one grated carrot, a couple of tablespoons of sour cream, and your favorite spices.
Fry the vegetable and mushroom mixture for 7 minutes.
While the mixture is being cooked, form several potato nests.
Take a baking tray, cover it with parchment, cover the material with a layer of vegetable oil and lay out several "hills" of puree. In each "hill" make a depression in which you can put the heated mixture of vegetables and mushrooms.
The finished “structures” with filling should be baked for 20 minutes.
The result will be an appetizing-looking dish that will definitely please both you and your household with its taste.
