How to Ripen Bananas in 1 Hour
If you need to get ripe bananas quickly, use the baking method. This method is very simple:
- Line a baking sheet or loaf pan with parchment paper.
- Preheat oven to 150 degrees.
- Place the bananas on a baking sheet (note, do not peel them, leave the fruit unpeeled).
- Bake the fruit in the oven, setting the timer for 1 hour.
When you open the oven door, you will see that the banana peel has turned black. Don't be alarmed - the banana pulp will be soft, sweet and delicious.
Let the bananas cool, peel them and you can use them to add to dough, smoothies, fruit salad and other dishes.
